    Little Wi-fi dongle that could...
Purchased a R36S retro gaming handheld device (through a different vendor) for some nostalgic gameplay. This device doesn't have built-in wi-fi, so this dongle was purchased. The R36S has ArkOS as its stock firmware, which is Ubuntu linux-based... meaning it runs a Linux kernel. Many of these wi-fi dongles similar to this one are not Linux compatible. This was the first one I encountered that claimed it was Linux compatible, so I purchased it with the hopes of it working correctly. And... it did! The only thing is that occasionally the connection just drops out for no reason and when it is working the bandwidth is quite slow (at 150Mbps vs those in the gbps range). Also, it's USB-A connection and I needed USB-C to go into the OTG port of the device. Had to use an attachment to fix that, but hey it works! That being said, with a little patience, it works well for the role it serves. Would recommend it for at least this device and others like it.
